摘要: The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer slip flow and solute transfer over a porous plate in the presence of a chemical reaction are investigated. The governing equations were transformed into self-similar ordinary differential equations by adopting the similarity transformation technique. Then the numerical solutions are obtained by a shooting technique using the fourth order Runge-Kutta method. The study reveals that due to the increase in the boundary slip, the concentration decreases and the velocity increases. On the other hand, with an increase in the magnetic field and mass suction, both boundary layer thicknesses decreased. As the Schmidt number and the reaction rate parameter increases, the concentration decreases and the mass transfer increases.

特低渗透油田提压注水效果探讨与实践

大庆西部外围地区特低渗透扶余油层具有埋藏深、厚度薄、砂体零散的特点,针对首次注水开发的特低渗透油田注水井吸水能力差、难以有效开发动用的实际,在搞清该区块微观特征的基础上,为确保特低渗透储层达到建立有效驱替,“注够水、注好水”的目的,经过反复理论研究和论证,提出了单井增压注水试验,现场应用后注水井能够完成配注,周围油井明显见到增油效果,实现了特低渗透储层有效驱替。利用无源微地震和同位素监测资料分析,改善了吸水状况,缓解了层间矛盾,储层动用程度得到提高。随注水压力升高降低,注水波及区范围随之升高、降低,增压注

Application of electrochemical depassivation in PRB systems to recovery Fe

摘要: Utilizing electrochemical depassivation to recovery Fe activity was effective, and minerals were cleaned layer by layer, with no ions secondary contamination, and no transformation from Cr(III) to Cr(VI). Electrochemical depassivation process under various electrolysis conditions was revealed. Electro-PRB configuration for caisson excavation construction technique was designed. Permeable reactive barriers (PRBs) show remarkable Cr(VI) removal performance. However, the diminished removal rate because of mineral fouling over time is the bottleneck for application of PRBs. The present study demonstrated that electrochemical depassivation was effective for recovering the Fe reactivity, and minerals can be cleaned layer by layer with no secondary ion contamination and no transformation from Cr(III) to Cr(VI). The removal recovery rate increased with increasing electrolysis voltage before reaching the optimal electrolysis voltage, and then decreased as the electrolysis voltage further increased. The recovery effect at electrolysis voltages of 5, 10, and 15 V show the same trend as a function of electrolysis time, where recovery rate first increased and then decreased after reaching the optimal electrolysis time. The Cr(VI) removal rate significantly decreased with increasing electrolysis distance. Furthermore, Fe brush meshes electrode, Fe fillings, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) meshes separators were combined to create an Electro-PRB configuration for the caisson excavation construction technique, which lays the foundation for establishment of promising Electro-PRB systems to treat Cr(VI)-contaminated groundwater.

Expression of PC-cell-derived growth factor in breast cancer

摘要: This study is mainly aimed at evaluating the expression of PC-cell-derived growth factor (PCDGF) in breast cancer and breast adenofibroma, and to compare with other commonly used clinical pathological indices, then to investigate the diagnostic and targeted therapeutic purpose of PCDGF in breast cancer tissue. In this study, we detected the expression of PCDGF, p53 and CerbB-2 in breast cancer tissue and the expression of PCDGF in breast adenofibroma tissue by immunohistochemical method, and analyzed the relationship between them. We found that PCDGF was expressed in most breast cancer tissue, but was not in breast adenofibroma tissue, and the expression of PCDGF was related with the tumor’s pathological category and the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) and p53, but there was no statistical dependability between PCDGF and cerbB-2. From this study, we predict that PCDGF may serve as a marker in the secondary diagnosis of breast cancer, and may participate in the generation and differentiation of breast cancer cells, and become an effective target of therapy for breast cancer.

Spatial embedded reinforcement of 20-node block element for analysis PC bridges

摘要: The formula for the contribution of prestressed reinforcement on embedded reinforcement element is derived according to the mechanical behavior of PC bridges and the foundational principle of finite element method. Mechanical concept is definite and examples validate the calculation results. Reinforcement element model allows generating a finite element mesh without taking into consideration the layout of reinforcements. Furthermore, the prestressing tendon may pass through the concrete elements in an arbitrary manner. It is an effective approach that the no-node loads are diverted from the tendons to the adjacent concrete elements. A useful arithmetic analysis of the spatial curved tendon PC Bridges is provided.

Effect of a less permeable stronger soil layer on the stability of non-homogeneous unsaturated slopes

摘要: Slope failure occurs due to an increase in the saturation level and a subsequent decrease in matric suction in unsaturated soil. This paper presents the results of a series of centrifuge experiments and numerical analyses on a 55° inclined unsaturated sandy slope with less permeable, stronger silty sand layer inclusion within it. It is observed that a less permeable, stronger silty sand layer in an otherwise homogeneous sandy soil slope hinders the infiltration of water. The water content of the slope just above the stronger layer increases significantly, compared to elsewhere. No shear band is found to initiate in a homogeneous sandy soil slope, whereas for a non-homogeneous slope, they initiate just above the less pervious, stronger layer. A discontinuity of the shear zone is also observed for the case of a non-homogeneous soil slope. The factor of safety of a non-homogeneous, unsaturated soil slope decreases because of the less permeable, stronger layer. It decreases significantly if this less permeable, stronger soil layer is located near the toe of the slope.

微地震监测技术在低渗透油田裂缝研究中的应用——以大庆西部外围低渗透油田为例

摘要:

微地震监测技术的现场应用是通过监测注水过程中产生的微震波,来确定出水驱前缘位置、优势注水方向、注水波及面积等资料,进而确定出裂缝分布的规律。在简要介绍无源微地震监测技术基本原理的基础上,结合地质动、静态资料,对微地震法在水驱前缘测试大庆西部外围低渗透油田的应用效果进行了分析。现场应用效果证明,微地震监测技术在低渗透油田裂缝研究领域具有良好的应用前景,对提高低渗透裂缝型油田开发效果具有十分重要的意义。

Reliability mesh convergence analysis by introducing expanded control variates

摘要: The safety evaluation of engineering systems whose performance evaluation requires finite element analysis is a challenge in reliability theory. Recently, Adjusted Control Variates Technique (ACVAT) has proposed by the authors to solve this issue. ACVAT uses the results of a finite element method (FEM) model with coarse mesh density as the control variates of the model with fine mesh and efficiently solves FEM-based reliability problems. ACVAT however does not provide any results about the reliability-based mesh convergence of the problem, which is an important tool in FEM. Mesh-refinement analysis allows checking whether the numerical solution is sufficiently accurate, even though the exact solution is unknown. In this study, by introducing expanded control variates (ECV) formulation, ACVAT is improved and the capabilities of the method are also extended for efficient reliability mesh convergence analysis of FEM-based reliability problems. In the present study, the FEM-based reliability analyses of four practical engineering problems are investigated by this method and the corresponding results are compared with accurate results obtained by analytical solutions for two problems. The results confirm that the proposed approach not only handles the mesh refinement progress with the required accuracy, but it also reduces considerably the computational cost of FEM-based reliability problems.

Design and optimization of reactive distillation: a review

摘要: Reactive distillation process, a representative process intensification technology, has been widely applied in the chemical industry. However, due to the strong interaction between reaction and separation, the extension of reactive distillation technology is restricted by the difficulties in process analysis and design. To overcome this problem, the design and optimization of reactive distillation have been widely studied and illustrated for plenty of reactive mixtures over the past three decades. These design and optimization methods of the reactive distillation process are classified into three categories: graphical, optimization-based, and evolutionary/heuristic methods. The primary objective of this article is to provide an up-to-date review of the existing design and optimization methods. Desired and output information, advantages and limitations of each method are stated, the modification and development for original methodologies are also reviewed. Perspectives on future research on the design and optimization of reactive distillation method are proposed for further research.

Mercury emission and adsorption characteristics of fly ash in PC and CFB boilers

摘要: The mercury emission was obtained by measuring the mercury contents in flue gas and solid samples in pulverized coal (PC) and circulating fluidized bed (CFB) utility boilers. The relationship was obtained between the mercury emission and adsorption characteristics of fly ash. The parameters included unburned carbon content, particle size, and pore structure of fly ash. The results showed that the majority of mercury released to the atmosphere with the flue gas in PC boiler, while the mercury was enriched in fly ash and captured by the precipitator in CFB boiler. The coal factor was proposed to characterize the impact of coal property on mercury emissions in this paper. As the coal factor increased, the mercury emission to the atmosphere decreased. It was also found that the mercury content of fly ash in the CFB boiler was ten times higher than that in the PC boiler. As the unburned carbon content increased, the mercury adsorbed increased. The capacity of adsorbing mercury by fly ash was directly related to the particle size. The particle size corresponding to the highest content of mercury, which was about 560 ng/g, appeared in the range from 77.5 to 106 µm. The content of mesoporous (4–6 nm) of the fly ash in the particle size of 77.5–106 µm was the highest, which was beneficial to adsorbing the mercury. The specific surface area played a more significant role than specific pore volume in the mercury adsorption process.

Moisture diffusion behavior of permeable fiber-reinforced polymer composite

摘要: A unit cell approach is employed to predict the effective moisture diffusion property in fiber-reinforced biopolymer. The permeable fibers distributed in the matrix are taken as inclusion phases in the system. Based on a unit cell model, the calculation method for moisture diffusion coefficients is developed in this paper. Moisture diffusion property and effective diffusion coefficients are numerically investigated under different temperature and volume fractions of fibers. The calculated results agree well with Gueribiz’s solutions. Therefore, it is reliable in predicting moisture diffusion property of composite using the unit cell model. The present result shows that the effective diffusion coefficient of a composite depends on both temperature and volume fraction of fibers. The effective diffusion coefficient of regular hexagon pattern composite is larger than that of square pattern at the same temperature and volume fraction.
